    Keep preview image large

Is it possible to control the zoom extents of the preview image? I save the file with the image filling the screen but it reverts back to a small image

    It always 'shows all'.

In order to get them to fill the screen, you have to hide elements - Host elements, annotations and reference lines usually cause the shrunken thumbnails.

I turned all that stuff off (before posting) and still get unpredictable results.

Ive found some oddities surrounding what view the file was in when the file was FIRST saved, versus each subsequent save. It seems to affect things surrounding the preview.

However, using the Family Browser now, i hand make all the previews in the project environment with Ambient occlusion turned on. :P

I don't think the family browser works in 2010, but it sure looks like a neat tool.

You are correct. Family Browser only works in Revit 2011 & 2012.

            Cheers

Oh my gosh, i feel terrible for you if you are still working in 2010. 2011 so so many performance enhancements it isnt funny. We saw soemthing like a quantifiable 25% productivity boost when we moved people over. (Yes, we are obsessive. Kelly has actual statistics, taking from software on peoples computers tracking movements and command times... LOL)
