Face-based family cutting two walls at a corner

I have a metal corner guard family that includes a 1/4" reveal on both ends. The family includes a solid sweep and a void sweep whose profile is 1/4" wider to allow for the reveals. The problem is that the void isn't cutting BOTH walls. It cuts the wall that it is hosted to. I thought that the advantage of using face-based over wall-based is that it would cut both walls.

The void *should* cut both walls... Have you tried changing the "Modify > Wall Join" options ?

Acutally, the void in the family won't even cut ONE wall. I tested this on generic walls in a brand new project file. Anyone want to check out the rfa that I posted and see what I did wrong. I seem to remember a thread about this at the AUGI forums, but we don't need to go down that road.

Well, it's exactly the other way around: a wall based family will cut both walls and a Face based will only cut his host.

Never the less, the posted family is working just fine... I´ve just loaded it into a OOTB template, and applied it to a couple of generic walls.
(However, like I mentioned in the first post - it will screw up, if the walls are set to mitter)
