File crash when exporting to IFC

    Hey,

I am having huge issues when trying to export files to IFC. The file seems to hang and think for a while and then a warning comes up, something like "There has been an unrecoverable error during export. Export will now be aborted"
Once you hit "Cancel", the file just drops out and you are presented with the Autodesk error report screen.

The file is not too big, 260Mgb
No linked files (they have been removed)
the file has been purged / audited etc.
I am using the current IFC exporter from Autodesk.

    Any ideas?

      Hi Tim,

Yeah, i have. I am using the 2015 version, still causing me issues though. This is really my first look at IFC after some time. The last time o played with is was some time ago and alot of the geometry kept getting lost, so i shelved it.
We have had a specific request for IFC files so i am re-investigating it. Maybe i am doing something wrong, settings etc, but it doesn't matter what i try, the file keeps crashing. Its not looking good for IFC from my end if i can export my files in a timely fashion.

I haven't had much issue exporting to IFC in the past, though I haven't needed to in the last year or 2.

I hope someone else here can offer more advice...
