Autodesk University: Power Up at AU 2011!

Looking to seriously sharpen your Autodesk product skills? Ready to optimize your company's processes and workflow? Then AU 2011 PowerTracks are just the ticket.
This year, you can choose from more PowerTracks in more disciplines. PowerTracks feature a special selection of advanced classes with a particular focus. When you sign up for a PowerTrack, you get the chance to dive deeply into an application or topic. We sequence the classes to build on each other so you gain more and more knowledge throughout the conference.
    Here are some examples:
The Building Design Suites PowerTrack brings you up to speed on building information modeling (BIM) workflows. Come learn about:
    • Using tools in the Suites to smooth communication among team members
    • How to make your designs and documentation stand out
    • Creating compelling visualizations throughout the design process
    • Analysis tools to help you make smarter design decisions
    • Working more effectively with manufacturers and fabricators
In the Existing Building PowerTrack you get broad exposure to the Autodesk® Building Design Suite tools and get a chance to see exciting technology previews from Autodesk Labs. Get the latest information on:
    • Optimizing your workflows for design, visualization, simulation, and analysis
    • Using rapid energy modeling for sustainable design
    • Analyzing daylighting to offset needs for artificial light
    • The most effective techniques for capturing reality
After you get home, take the follow-on virtual class that explains how to set up your information technology (IT) infrastructure to support the workflows taught in the PowerTrack.
Here are the rest of the AU 2011 PowerTracks. Find one that’s just right for you.
    • Alias. Sketching, modeling, and visualization.
    • AutoCAD® 3D Design. Reality capture, Autodesk Inventor® Fusion, and surface modeling.
    • Autodesk Design Suite. Overview and tool integration, plus individual classes in Autodesk Showcase®, Sketchbook® Designer, Mudbox™, and 3ds Max® Design.
    • Infrastructure Design Suite. Optimizing software performance, point clouds, design features, visualization, construction simulation, and workflows.
    • Autodesk Moldflow®. Increasing productivity, running more simulations on more parts, and communicating results.
    • Autodesk Simulation. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD), finite element analysis (FEA), mechanical and plastic infection molding simulation.
    • Utility Design. Workflow, designing with your geographical information system (GIS), integrated analysis and standards-based design, drafting productivity, automated materials ordering, convergence of 2D and 3D in a single project, and best configuration practices for AutoCAD Utility Design.
We will post the class schedules to the AU website in mid-August, about two weeks before registration opens. Review the schedule then, so you know which classes you want before registration starts. Then, register and select your classes early to make sure you can complete your PowerTracks.
