Detailed callout - Roof connection workaround

How do you manage details when 2 roofs connects. using cut profile really sucks, especially when I cant hide their lines. Draw on top of them white line would spoil hatch pattern. Drawing on top filled regions would take plenty of time. Suggestions?

Could you create the Roof in one piece instead? Either with "Roof by Extrusion" or with a Mass and "Roof by Face"?
Or maybe just using the Join tool on you existing roofs will do it?
