Autodesk University: Why speak at AU?

Thinking about submitting a class proposal for AU2015, but not sure if you should? Well, we’re here to tell you why you should. Sure, the free conference pass is nice (and who doesn't love Vegas?), but it’s about so much more than that. There’s a whole host of other reasons why you’re making a smart choice when you decide to become an AU speaker, and after you’ve done it once, you may just want to keep coming back.
Autodesk University comprises a dynamic, global community of thought-leaders, innovators and experts in the many fields of 3D design and engineering. Like Top Gun cadets, we’re the best of the best. (Except, you know, we’re not fighter pilots. Or Tom Cruise.) By becoming an AU speaker, you’re positioning yourself as an expert in your field, someone your peers will look to for insight and innovation and expertise. And you get to hobnob with all those other brainiacs, too. That’s a big reason, right there.
As an AU speaker, you’ll also become a key part of the AU community, which means we will promote you and your work. That’s always nice. And we’re not just talking about at the event—we’ll also promote your classes and highlight your expertise online, year-round.
As AU grows, so does your influence. By taking up a position now as a thought leader, you can impact the future of thinking in your field as well as the evolution of design and engineering. In other words, you can help make the world a better place. And that may be the best reason of all.
So, to recap: by choosing to become an AU speaker, you also:
    • Position yourself as an expert and a thought leader
    • Benefit from having your work promoted by AU all year
    • Become a key part of a dynamic community of experts
    • Influence the future of design and the evolution of your industry
    • Meet and network with other great minds

So our only question is, what are you waiting for? The AU 2015 call for proposals opens on April 22, 2015.
