    Masking region depth

Is there a way to set the masking region depth? I need to see the components 4 feet down, but hide the regions directly below the mask.
    Thank you

Could you do this with a plan region instead of a masking region? Change the depth of your view and see if you can get the drawing to look the way you need it to in that one area. If you can then use a plan region instead of a making region. I think it's the better way to do this...but that's just my opinion.

Yes you can. Create an Inplace family. Set the masking region on a reference plane. Move the RP to the desired depth/height. Fiddle around with the masking region's setting of draw in foreground/. I forgot which was the correct setting.

Wouldn't using the Plan Region be easier? Seems like having to create an in place family every time this needs to be accomplished would be kind of complicated.

Yes, I would say plan region would be easier 99% of the time, and would only use this method if plan regions would not solve the problem.

A masking region can be associated with a reference plane and that can be moved up and down.
