To customize new truss by my self

    Hi everyone:

I would like to customize a big size of truss system length 66000 mm, height 3000 mm to the convention center project. However, when I created truss at truss family and load into revit project surface, the truss became unusual truss, please to refer the attaching Jpeg file. Does anyone know how to customize the thickness or the size of chord and web?

    Sincerely,

    Li-wei

All you need, in my opinion, is load a Warren truss family in your project. Then, simply specify the structural members that you need for top cord, bottom cord, and diagonals. Make sure that you have the structural framing families already loaded, so that you can assign them to the truss. There is no need to do any work in the family editor. It looks like you worked in the family editor and you created a monster Warren truss made of tiny Warren trusses, which was not the intention. A simple Warren truss with single elements at each member would be enough.
