Purging unused sub-disciplines?

RAC2011: I added some sub-discipline parameter values (project parameters) to sort my views. I can't figure out how to get rid of the old parameter values. And does this go for every project parameter?
Purge command doesn't touch them. Only way I see is deleting sub-discipline parameter from project, re-making it and then re-filling the parameter values. Not looking forward to that.
