    Image to detail component

    What is the best way to extract image and put it into detail component? Im my case i got PDF format technical drawings. Should i export as a .jpg and put into detail component with right scale?
    How would you handle in my case?

    Is this in order to create the detail component from the sketch?
    If so, you can use insert>image and pick your image from there. It can be in jpg, tiff, bmp or png I believe.

      yeah but whats the best way? i guess PNG format is best for details? and maybe there is some tricks to convert image file and somehow explode to lines..

        I think you can if you take it into adobe illustrator and use the live trace command (but not totally sure) and then once converted to vectors, the file can then be exported to dwg format. but it might just be easier to trace. hth
