So I have an idea for a Revit add-in, and I would love to get some feedback on whether its even possible to build, how difficult it would be to build, or if people think its a bad idea for some reason.
I want to have a setting in a Revit project that restricts the placement of all objects(or at least walls) to a specified grid. So if a wall is placed 2501mm from another wall, Revit will automatically shift it to be 2500mm away instead. Same with wdws and doors, if it gets nudged off grid I want Revit to shift it to the nearest increment of 50mm, or whatever increment is set for the project.
What do people think?
Thanks for any input as I am trying to process through this issue of maintaining precision in a very fast paced design office.
