    RAC 3D annotation

    Hi,

I wonder if it's posible to make a annotation simbol from 2D into 3D?

Hello Sweden, and welcome to the forum

Annotations are by definition 2D in Revit... What exactly are you trying to achieve? Maybe with some more info, we can come up with another solution for you

Hello Denmark and thank u! ;-)

I want for example: To take a wall in 3D view, place a annotation simbol. After i press on annotation simbol, I want that it takes me to new window and shows more detailed view of the wall.
Hopefully u do understand what I mean. ;-)

In Revit Arch 2012 you can place annotation content on a locked 3d View, such as: dimensions, text, tags, and keynotes. But not callouts, if that is what you mean by a "new window with more detailed view of the wall".

It sounds like you want a callout or interior elevation type annotation to take you to a detail view of an area of the project. Do you have a screen shot or example of what you are trying to accomplish?

What we actually is looking after, is a way to link a 3D "Icon" to a drawing View. Similar to a 2D callout annotation.
We want to create "model pointers".

This pointer should also later have a hyperlink to the plotted drawing, so that you can easy open i.e. a PDF file.

              Not possible (to my knowledge).
Option A: create a generic Model component (a "ball") which you can annotate. But it won't take you to a certain view. It can have a url assigned and a detail view name (no live link though).
Option B: there actually is no option B cause you can't have a callout in a 3D.

              Maybe dwf can do this?
