    Export DWG - Import 3Dsmax

    Some questions by export.
    1. In the RAC 2011 after the export-import (link) via DWG disappear assigned materials. And disappear only with categories site and curtain walls. In RAC 2010 all worked perfectly.
    2. When exporting to DWG curved surfaces get a clear number of surfaces (polyface mesh). How can I increase the number of these segments?

    Any suggestions ?

The first problem is a known issue with the export and requires the materials be remapped to the items in 3DS. A pain to do but because it is a persistent bug it has to be done. Usually applying a UVW map from the modifiers fixes this.

To increase the number of poly's on a surface you will want to use the ProOptimizer modifier to increase the number of poly's.

      Thanks,
      1. With UVW Map no problem, I use Real-world map size. I mean that the missing materials.
      2. can tell where the ProOptimizer modifier? I can't find it.

Check the modifiers list... I hope your MAX version is not a really old one... However, there was a "Optimize" modifier even then.
