Hey guys sorry it’s been a while….. Does any one know where to get RPC content with out going thru Archivion outrageous price scam? I need some more Ethnic looking people for a Baptist Church were working on. Out of the Box RPC only has LaRon.
You can make your own for free. i've made many. download rpc creator from archvision. I disagree with your assesment of their pricing. For $350/year you can have access to all the content they have. Once you make a couple for your self you'll see that you'll spend that on one rendering.

I just need them for this rendering. We are a super small company and its hard to ask the boss for $300 for Rendering stuff on a job we are almost doing for free. The reason I call it a scam is that it was free not so long ago. And this is the only place you can get them..... Scam is the worng word Monopoly is more like it. But it is what it is.
i agree with Sscott. Its MORE than worth the fee they get for it, considering what we get out of it. Your other options include 3D models of people and cars and plants. Wait til you see how badly those kill your rendering performance, on your "doing it for free" rendering.
Either:
1. Tell the client since its basically free there is no entourage.
or
2. Buy it from Archvision.
You arent going to find a cheaper way that doesnt cost you the same money on this tiny project for your tiny office.
RPC was never free. They used to just charge you for what you bought it was much more expensive. You won't find many free rpc's precisely because they take time and knowledge of photoshop(minor knowledge).

Ok if its that good ill ask the boss and see what I can do.
Does really speed up the rendering rather than full 3d objects?
Immensely, especially considering the type of 3D models you need to do cars and people: You are either paying out the rear end for some silly Revit cars (and theyre hellishly expensive), or youre buying RPC, which doesnt need time to *calculate* how to render. No way in HELL i would pay for 3D cars and people, when i could use Entourage.

i also agree, it's very easy to make your own RPC's with just a little PS knowledge, but the time taken for anything more than a small job will easily negate your labour costs... unless you work for free or close to it.
Hey everyone, new here, and somewhat new to Revit. I have been using it for a couple years now, but I still don't know much. I have figured out most of...
I have recently updated the RPC content to go thru Avail instead of the archivision content manager. Has anyone had any issues after converting to Avail?...
This is why I'm looking at creating my own RPC's...these images are cloud renders (approx. 5.5 mins each, max quality & resolution), very nice quality....
