    Revisions on all sheets?

I've got to submit a record set of drawings. Dwg set is 341 sheets and each sheet needs to have Rev 03 - Record Set - 6-10-14 in the revision schedule in the titleblock and I've got this setup as a revision in Sheet Issue/Revisions. There are no actual revisions on any sheet. I know that I can open a sheet and use the sheet parameter "Revisions on Sheet" to get the revision on that sheets revision schedule. Anyway to do this for 341 sheets without having to open each and every one of them?

    Someone save my morning please!

Use a bit of text in the titleblock family?

Create a revision cloud for your revision, copy/paste to all sheets and then turn off the cloud in the revision settings.

I second this. Paste to selected views works great as long as no one else is in the model working on one of those sheets. Also, for the revisions on sheet you don't need to actually open the view, just select it in the browser. I still wouldn't want to do it 341 times, but it's still a little faster than opening them.

thought of that. Don't like having the revision on the same line in every schedule regardless of what other revisions occur...

I lied, I have one revision cloud on the cover sheet around text that says "Record Set" so that blows your great idea away...

Used to be able to select all the sheets in the project browser and change that Revisions on Sheet setting in mass....who the hell screwed that one up?

It varies computer to computer whether or not you CAN select multiple sheets in the PB and have it still propogate the changes to Revisions on Sheets, and ive never seen a concrete reason why. People claim its because of docked/undocked monitor settings, but its not.

We use the copy/paste rev cloud trick. If you dont want to turn the clouds off, no big deal. You can paste them out and to the right of the titleblock. If you plot with 0.0000 margins, starting at left, they dont print. Makes them consistantly easier to find for the general staff too. We do it that way and we have tons of people in our models.

I just put the cloud off to the side so it's off the sheet. This only works if you have your print settings set to "offset from corner". If it's set to center it will cause some problems.

Revisions on sheet is accessible in the 2014 API (The Building Coder: Wrangling Revisions with Ruby).

Some hot shot developer might be able to pound something out pretty quick for you. I'd check with Boost Your BIM | Making Revit even better and CASE | BIM Consulting | BIM Services | BIM Coordination | New York, NY

or if you have a macro tinkerer on staff, they could probably get that going.

Note: I'm not snubbing other Revit developers, I've just have experience with these two.

Apparently BigBadBIM was taken, so MrBIMtastic it is.
