    Where some subscription fee's go.

Just spent a couple of weeks in Cambodia and visited Angkor Wat (8th wonder of the world.)
Really is an amazing place, to my supprise in one part of the many restoration areas I came by this sign with list of sponsors and if you look down the bottom is ADSK, now I don't feel so bad about paying subscription fee's as it's not all going to share holders.

Awesome! Cool to see familiar things in unfamiliar areas.

I still find it amusing that people find ways to bring up the "evil" Autodesk subscription topic... which is and always has been voluntary.

Not bitchin about "evil" Autodesk subscription, just saying it's nice to see some of our "payments" are being directed to other worthy causes.

Nothing more worthy than a good dose of (tax deductible) self promotion. I often wonder why so many think that organisations doing good in the world should be such a self deprecating act. Why can't both be winners?

Their involvement in preserving a Wonder of the World makes sense with the laser scanning and 3D modeling they're capable of. I'd imagine they're using it as much for their own research as they are for preserving it. Not that that's a bad thing.

I was at a seminar last year that they talked about laser scanning Delicate Arch in Utah and were able to project its eventual failure.
