    Finding a Panel

In a large design with many electrical circuits and with a panel located on the other side of the building, is there a way to find a panel's location knowing the panel name?

I haven't worked with the electrical side of Revit, but I think you should be able to create a schedule that includes the panel name, locate the panel name, select the row and select "highlight in view" and Revit will find a view where you can see the panel.

You can also examine circuit information in the System Browser which will also allow you to Show the panel (right click). It does help to have some idea what the panel is called though, unless you open a 3D view so you can see everything and just start selecting panels in the System Browser (or a schedule).

See the picture attached, is the small green area the connector of this electric device?

Yes that is what you are seeing.

So electrical wires really go to the connectors in circuits and the connectors set on the fixtures which gives the appearance that the wires connect to the fixture or device?

Wires are purely annotation, not really running wire, but yes they are drawn from connector to connector. If you place a wire on the connector of one device and click in empty space to place the other end of the wire Revit will generate an arrow to indicate a home run, assuming settings allow for arrows to show.

When the panel was placed in a location, shouldn't it have grabbed the room location name? Can you just look on schedule and see where it is?

I used F9 (Sys Browser), find the element your using knowing the circuit then right click and select show. Or just click on the element and it will highlight by changing color.
