[All Verticals] - Revit shadows option

    Applies to: - All Verticals

    New Feature / Problem:
The last few weeks I've been using Revit for PV system installations... One of the most vital things to take care of is the correct placement of the PV panels...
So I use location, sun path, shadows... and everything is really close to reality.
BUT... although I knew it from the begining, I realised that when I go to a plan view, the shadows I see are not correct... they are the shadows produced of the elements as if I cut them!

Why do you need this Feature / Why is it a Problem:
I need plan views with correct shadows. I believe this can be done with a view option, right? Because I believe the way it is now it is wrong!
It can be nice for presentation reasons but I believe it is wrong!

    Workflow:
So, If for example I go the the last level of the building where I place the PV panels but I have another building which I reprecent with a solid extrusion... I can't see the correct shadows of the other building...
The only way to have things shown correctly is to go to the Site view!

    Benefits:
This would make correct plan views with shadows on... and if we can control the way shadows are shown with a checkbox, it would be even better.

Completely agree, and the same applies to other views. For example, shadows in a Section Perspective should have the option for Realistic Shadows. In all cases I think the option needs to be there for both Diagramatic Shadows and Realistic Shadows. There is a place for both.
