Sending Autodesk our issues with 2012 directly...

I thought it would be good to post this here...

The LRUG (London Revit User Group) is promoting it's members to forward their gripes to one of Autodesk Europe's key players after the RST side of the group voiced massive annoyances with the loss of UK localisation in the 2012 Revit release.

    READ MORE HERE

So I thought I'd add, as a RAC user, hyperlinks to the big threads on here in my email. But rather than hunt them all down, would you post the thread/post link here for me?

Please ntoe - it's to be specific-to-2012 issues only.
(like Aaron's issue with the license type swapping, or the deployment headaches...)

Of course, you could also write your own email by following the link

Ah, I see... Structural terms used to be such as Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, in the UK version of Revit Structure 2011, now, in 2012, they are showing American terms again, such as Girder, Joist, and Purlin.

What´s up with the rooster, and the big arrow on the land, pointing upwards? Some kind of British expression?

By the way, I loved the "Revolver Map" on the bottom of the page, left side. Cool!

Nothing particular British... Just a great sense of humor  (and a funny way to deal with profanity filters)

Think the "Rooster" is a (Big) "Cock" and the arrow is pointing "Up"

Klaus has got it on the nose - personally I didn't even "see" them as I scroll straight past "funny" gifs for the good (written) stuff...

So anyways people, the thread links? Or are we all going to go solo on this.

        I don't mind either way.

I already made the appropriate parties aware of all of the difficulties ive had with deployments and installations, so no need to waste more energy on it. Perhaps focus on other things instead.

The way I read it, the email link is mostly minded for issues with the British Localization... But I could be wrong?

Either way, we´ve added a link straight to the Autodesk Support Request page at the top navigation bar. And the official Feedback page is right here

That is the primary focus - but the members have been asked to add whatever they wish to their emails as the this line of communication has been opened by said Autodesk guy - it's not just another means to urinate in the wind, which is how I feel whenever I complete ONE OF THESE.

The link to "one of these" are broken, but I´m assuming it should have pointed to the Feedback Form, where I´ve actually gotten some nice reactions lately - Believe that they are really listening, and don´t feel anything like urinating in the wind... ha ha

But the more the merrier - So let´s fill that persons inbox too

It was, it's fixed now. I was being somewhat facetious.

You may feel that way, but ive spoken directly with a lot of the people that receive those, and- in a few caes- we have even gotten direct feedback on issues that were otherwise sitting in Opened Support Requests, because the QA people getting those forms got ahold of it.
