    Please vote for the most critical Wish List item - May 2011

    It´s time to vote for the most critical Wish List item to be submitted to Autodesk in May.

    The below 5 items are those who are currently ranked as "most critical"

    Which is your favorite?
    44
    Generic Annotation - Always Vertical
    9.09%
    4
    Batten insulation as flexible patterns
    13.64%
    6
    Tilt wall tool
    27.27%
    12
    Better Error Dialogue Box
    34.09%
    15
    Rotate Drafting Patterns
    15.91%
    7

    The poll is expired.

    * Generic Annotation - Always Vertical
    I don't follow? To have it or not?

    * Batten insulation as flexible patterns
    It'd be nice to add a flexible batten insulation to a material cut fill, but then you're only going to need to use more masks in detailing... but if it's going to be improved, let's have tapered batting as well. It should be OOTB anyway

    * Tilt wall tool
    I'd like it, but it's not a killer.

    * Better Error Dialogue Box
    Definately - although to not have errors would be better! But I'd be content with clearer explanations - with links to the help/wiki/etc for those wishing to scratch their head, a better "show" tool as well (maybe a "pick from view list" option rather than cycling through)

    * Rotate Drafting Patterns
    * Meh - again, it should be OOTB.

    ....So it's * Better Error Dialogue Box for me.

          Ready, set, go...

          I did vote for better error dialogue - it's very annoying when our beloved Revit simply refuses to cooperate but won't (can"t?) tell me why.

            I concur with that statement and I vote for better explanations in error dialog boxes too.

              Maybe because Autodesk is already working on it?

                Generic annotations - always vertical it comes in default @ 0 degrees, just rotate to the correct angle.
                Tilt wall. Do you know what happens to a (MEP) families symbolic lines if the reference plane in the family isn't parallel to the view? So rather than tilt wall, lets vote for a wish list that allows families at an angle to still represent symbolic lines.
                Better Error Dialog Box I submitted this wishlist item back in RMEP 2009 and still no go.
                So these are the 5 most critical?...oh my.
                Can't wait for the day RMEP has these minor issues.

                  Just to clarify - The wish list is not only for RAC Feel free to add any issues you may have with MEP (and RST too) :beer:

                    None of the items on the list are anywhere near critical to me. I am going to vote for a railings overhaul.
