I am drawing an axonometric massing diagram to indicate zoning compliance, is it possible to lock a 3d view so I can't rotate yet still zoom and pan that is not a camera? Is there a way to do it with the view cube?

The wheel (shift + W) contains tools for zoom and pan, on any 3d view. You might be able to do it with the wheel of the mouse, too.

Also, can I dimension in 3d/elevation? I want to dimension the height of the building and setbacks, yet I so far am only able to dimension in plan.Comment

I found it much easier if I created a "conceptual mass" family...I had no idea that would be so easy to model generically in Revit!Comment
