    Complex Linetype Help

I've created a few complex line types, but I'm having one small issue.

If the line is drawn horizontally, the symbol text is aligned with the center of the line. This is what I want.

If I draw the line vertical, or at an angle, the text lines up on the line slightly off center. Anyone know why?

    Hi Dan,
solution for the vertical issue: check "rotate with component" in both families.

can't find a way for angled.....

Nice family I have always wanted something like this for Plumbing HW and CW, and for Site Plans ---------X--------- chain link fences. Thanks Dan!

Hi Dan, nice work. I'm afraid the angled lines aren't possible just now.

ps. Don't get too good at this, you're losing credibility as a "noob"

 Well, thanks! But I stole it from someone online.

Do you really think I could have done this myself??

It makes the angled lines, the text is just offset a little. No big deal, it's close enough for production. I just want it perfect.

Okay, now I feel bad. It was actually an AU class. Here's the PDF. There's some good tips and tricks here.

NO, you get rep for making a family about it and posting instead of directing me to the pdf

The only thing I can't fix (besides the text centering issue) is that it has to be a certain length to work. I guess there's no way around that, though. I mean, it has to be long enough to fit the text in it. For the shorter lines, I've just been using detail lines.

Here is the updated version with Juliens fix. Now the text is always right reading.
