    Know the offset from level

I place a family on a floor. It is a PV panel. Sometimes I have to place it at 0.50m from the floor because of shadows coming from perimeter walls. How can I have this offset (height) value inside a schedule?

General question...Is there a way to know things like that... for example offset from level or something directly taken from the project and not as a parameter in the family?
(I guess I know the answer but want to ask...)

Like you guessed already, you´ll need to create a shared "Offset" parameter in the family - Can´t be done with the hardcoded "Offset" parameter under <Constraints> in the properties dialog.
