    curved windows

    Hi,
I translate this from the French section:
"how do you deal with curved windows? based on curtain walls? does 2012 have any improvement about this?"

Never did that, so I ask for some help here. Thanks for your time.

I create a wall type that the material is glass(ie 1" thick) and then add sweep profiles for the mullions to the wall assembly. Its cut lineweight is slightly heavier.

Simply model them as a window... Why is that hard?

Another option would be to create a curtain wall panel with a radius parameter so that the panel curvature can match the radius of the wall. This is of course assuming you want curve in one direction. You should also look into adaptive component curtain panels.

However, that being said, I have to ask: Does he really want curved glass or does he just need to segment his curtain wall more than 30' section in order to get the appearance of a curve? Remember that curved glass is not exactly a common building material.
