Printing Bug has Returned in 2012

An old bug has returned for me in 2012.

When plotting to a pdf, it will attempt to print multiple copies, even as the number of copies selected is one. In fact when printing to pdf there is no way to ask for more than one copy. I have it set to combine into a single multi-page pdf; It seems like it ends up trying to print each page one by one, anyway.

So I have to keep cancelling and cancelling as the SAVE AS dialog comes up over and over.

I recall this from 2009, 2010. And is seemed to go away for 2011. Now back in 2012.

Does anyone have any advice or similar problems?

I'm having the same issue. Major PITA.

Had problem with Bullzip and Nitro. CutePDF seems to be working, at least for the moment.

What PDF printer software are you using?

"PDF Creator" seems to be working OK. (limited trial though)

pdf creator, opensource, free, works fine for me with RAC 2012

Can be used to combine docs from multiple sources too. Select 'wait' during printing and print from any other package, then combine and print.

I have also encountered (though not tested) pdftk or pdf-tool-kit. A open source, cross platform freebie that does much of the desired Acrobat tasks.

I haven't tried it though an very keen to see how well it performs for home use! I will test Acrobat 9.4 Pro Extended tomorrow and see if there are issues out of 2012

I have tested printing from RAC 2012 to pdf with the print driver from Acrobat Pro Extended 9.4.4 and it works fine?

Not sure what the problem could be?

We haven't seen this problem yet but I have done limited work in 2012 so far. We're using Bluebeam PDF software.

See if anyone can reproduce this:
With any PDF software, try using the "Combine" function while using a "saved" set of sheets.

I just tried this again (with Bluebeam this time) and if I select a few sheets and combine, it works, but if I use a "saved" set of sheets and combine, I get the issue the OP described.

I did this with a saved set of sheets and it made a combined set using both Acrobat 9 and Acroplot

My tests were with a 'saved' set and worked fine...
