    Material Takeoffs and Mullions....

So, I have a material takeoff set up that has been able to list every item in the project based off of its Masterspec section number. For some reason the mullions in the curtain wall won't show up.

The way in which we were able to get the items to show up in the Material Takeoff was to add the masterspec number into the keynote of the identity tab of the material. I have the material for the mullions set up the same way we have everything else set up, but they just do not want to cooperate.

    Any ideas?

(apparently I cant edit the title...ugh)

I believe mullions can't be used in a material takeoff. Just like Wall Sweeps and Roof Fascias and that sort of stuff

What would be the most appropriate way to get that information to show up?

        Use a Schedule for these...

            You're welcome...
I know it's kind of confusing, there are categories which cannot be used for a Meterial Takeoff (while they do have Materials). The reason is that the component you see in your project is in fact an In-Place Sweep (your Mullion Profile swept along the Curtain Wall Gridline, or a Roof Gutter Profile swept along the edge of a Roof). For that reason it won't schedule in a MTO. It's a pain because now you have to use two kind of schedules to get a complete set...
