    Changing curtain wall material ?

How can I change curtain wall material and structure? Also i want to change color, change reflectance of curtain walls?
I don't know how to do?

(I try to make a generic wall, work in "Edit type" and change structure into Glass on Material Browser, and can change color, reflectance in Appearance. But when i did, i can't add Curtain Grid on that wall, it did'nt work)

    Thanks for your help!

Curtain walls are their own system family, you need to start with a wall that uses this family. Like regular walls you'll want to make new types for different conditions. Curtain walls have multiple components: curtain wall mullions set the shape and material of the mullion, and curtain wall panels (which can also be regular walls) define the shape and material of the space between the mullions. By default a new curtain wall has its mullions and panels pinned to match the settings in the Type properties dialog. It sounds like it is the curtain wall panel that you want to change?

Assuming you want to change all the panels, and that you need to create a new panel type, navigate through the project browser to Families>Curtain Panels>System Panel and choose a panel to duplicate (you can make complex curtain panels later) . Open your duplicated panel and choose a new material. Select the curtain wall you drew and edit the type (you may want to duplicate it too) Change the curtain panel (located under the construction heading) to your new panel.

Thank you so much, But I did and something was wrong
In browser, I choose open > Family > Curtain Wall Panels > Glazed Panel
In use Manage Tab > Materials > Glass and change color, Reflectance, sheets of glass in the Appearance Tab
I save as a family file. And Load into Project
Draw a Curtain Wall, Duplicate, and change Curtain Panel ( in Construction ) into new Glazed Panel
      But it did'nt work.

I don't know what's wrong? Please help me.

You need to do this within the project environment as the project settings will always override any family materials of (exactly) the same name. Same goes with other appearance properties such as object styles.

You have the answer already. Manage tab > Materials > Glass... In the project (rvt), not the family (rfa).

So It means: open > Family > Curtain Wall Panels > Glazed Panel > And load into project?
Comeback to project and Draw a Curtain Wall, Duplicate, and change Curtain Panel ( in Construction ) into Glazed Panel?
And Manage tab > Materials > Glass...?

navigate through the project browser to Families>Curtain Panels>System Panel
I also don't know where is the tab "Families", I thought I have to chose Open > Family > Curtain Wall Panels and It is different. I use RAC 2014

Sorry, Because I have just learned Revit for a few days, So i don't understand how to do.
Really need some help right now! Thank you

By default curtain walls will use system level panel families. You can create custom ones too. Either way the project settings will override the family settings. The first time you load a family into a project any materials that are new to the project (by exact name) will be imported also. If you subsequently edit and reload a family any pre-existing (by name) materials will have no effect in the project as they already exist and the project settings always rule.
To change a material for a pre-existing material, either change the name for that material within the family and reload - which will introduce a new material with new settings into the project - or change the material attributes within the project itself.

If a family has 'Material A' this material definition will be loaded into the project the FIRST time the family is loaded into the project. If 'Material A' already exists within the project the family material will have no effect as the PROJECT SETTINGS RULE.

To change the material definition of a curtain panel with a pre-existing material within the project do the following-

Find the curtain panel in the project browser, then right-click and select type properties

Or get to the material browser by Manage > Materials >.....and find the correct material.

Be aware that if you duplicate a material you should subsequently duplicate the material asset on the 'appearance' tab, unless you want it shared across materials
Button circled in blue to duplicate asset
Icon circled in red shows this asset is shared with 1 other material, ie. changing this appearance asset will change the appearance of 1 other material also.
