How to join column to the structural part in floor?

My floor has 3 layers, finish, structural and thermal. In this case column doesnt join to the concrete part ( structural) in the floor, whats up? i use join geometry and nothing.. just goes on top of the finish layer.

is your column base level set to reach the structural layer of the floor? The finish and thermal layers are outside of the core section in the floor settings?

have you checked if the finish layer row from the floor setting is outside the "core" part?

          Hi,
Check that the column and the floor are of exact the same material. If the column has the material set to say Concrete 32 MPa and the floor Concrete 25 MPA they may not join.

          Cheers,
          J

Can only get it to work with Architectural Columns... Just don´t attach the bottom of the column, use the "standard" Base Offset (Finish layer thickness) instead, and then use Join Geometry

change a parameter from the concrete structural column family from concrete value to precast value and offset the base of the column to structural layer of the floor.

it`s strange that we have to do that.
