Applies to: - All Verticals
New Feature / Problem:
Allow Drafting patterns to Rotate and Align just like Model patterns can.
Why do you need this Feature / Why is it a Problem:
This one has been around for so long, I think most people have just given up on it.
Details often have long, thin areas hatched and odd angles.
A few can be accommodated by creating Line-based families, but since you can Rotate or Align Model patterns, why can't you Rotate a Drafting pattern?
Workflow:
Tab to a line in a Filled Region.
Pick Rotate tool
Rotate hatch pattern.
OR
Pick Align Tool
Select a line at desired angle.
Tab to Filled Region line.
Exactly the same as model patterns
Benefits:
Better looking details.
I don't have to explain why Revit can't do something most people view as a basic drafting function.
