    Splitting wall section horizontally

I have a wall section which is slightly too tall to fit on my page...I know that I can split the section into separate vertical elements, but is it possible to do the same horizontally?

You have to choose between horizontal or vertical splitting. Both is not possible. To create that effect, you would need to add another view to the Wall sections sheet and place the new view next to the first one, but this might be difficult to handle.

Yeah, now I'm trying to duplicate the view, drop it on my sheet, and change the size drop of the viewport on the sheet, but when I specify the size of the view it centers the drawing instead of allowing me to specify where I want it to crop (I need the top to be visible).

Do you mean you want brake the view (like brake line ). You can split the crop region horizontal or vertical and drag the sections closer together and the dimensions remain correct. Is this what you mean ?

If it ain't broke, fix it till it is.

I understand that the OP wants to split the view horizontally AND vertically. That is not possible. Once you start splitting in one orientation, only that orientation is available for the next subdivisions.

Wow, how thick is your wall that the section is too wide?

Usually, a wall section is split horizontally, only. Very rarely you would see one that is split in both directions. In this case, most likely, you need to create another wall section.

                    I have very thick walls....

Well, it's a section through a two story addition on a brick townhouse...the scale of the project is such that I thought I could get away with only creating one section through the new rear wall and the existing rear wall and would just break the section vertically in the middle. This worked, then I realized that I needed to extend the section vertically to include a new terrace door, which is what required me to break the section horizontally. I guess it might make sense to go back and just create two wall sections....if only my drawing set wasn't due today!!!!!!!
