    Beam Poking Through Roof Help

Well the title says it all really. See image
I have a timber beam spanning from wall to wall and of course the roof is pitched, so the issue is the beam will pock through the roof sheeting (tiles)

This is a structural beam family. How do I edit the profile of the beam to pitch with the roof so it will sit below and follow the roof line?

Surely this can be done as building's will have this condition fairly regularly.

    Any help appreciated.

Draw a reference plane where you want the cut then use cut geometry tool, select beam then Ref Plane.
    or
Use cut by face. Home/Openings/Cut By Face

    I'd use the Ref Plane.
