    Linked object as host element

Is there any good workaround for not being able to put a window into a linked wall? We use tunnel forms a lot, and altough the structural engineer needs to sign off of window opening locations, they are not responsible for locating them.

Do the Structural consultants simply link the Arch model walls and openings? Or do they copy/monitor? Or do they model their own walls?

This is an area of Revit that does need workflow improvement, Ideally we should be able to push openings across linked files, which would allow MEP & Structure to push openings into an Arch model and have them approved, and vice versa

Beware hosting on linked model objects. Too many times the host in the link gets deleted and a new one is drawn rather than moving the original host. Then voila, you have no host for the object in your model, and guess what happens...
