    help with 3ds Max design

    Hello everybody,
    this is my first post, and I'm very excited about the new world I've become a member of. I'm currently studying Architecture in Sydney and we are developing material on 3DS max design software and I'm getting stuck on many fronts. Does anyone in this community know of a tutor I could get in contact with to speed up my development with this software?

    Welcome to the forum.
    Sure you will find many more suggestions from the other users here.
    Quick Q.
    Are you using Revit as a modeling platform and just producing renderings in Max?
    If so then you can just find quick reference videos on youtube about 3ds Max materials, ligthing and rendering settings, as you can then just import models from revit with the FBX file format.

      Given that this forum is geared mainly towards Revit, another great resource is CG ARCHITECT

      That forum is geared more to 3d Visualization and has a lot more people knowledgeable in that software.

      You can PM though and I will try to help as best I can. I have a fair amount of experience in 3ds Max.

                Well, it was a joke. You know, crayons? The waxy pencil like things kids color with? I was asking where to put them for the rendering. Like as if the computer used crayons...........oh never mind. :laugh:

                    oh... I though you wanted to model and texture some crayons and put them somewhere in the scene
