    Material Editor Crash

    Hi all,

I am having an issue where Revit 2012 is crashing out while I am using the material editor. It's pretty consistant. If I am in the editor for any extended period of time the file closes without warning. Has anyone else had this issue? Any idea what is failing in the program?

    Thanks, Sarah

Update: The most recent crash I was given a warning which gave me the opportunity to save a recovery file. I wish I took a screen schot of the warning, because it did not look like a typical Revit warning. I'll probably recreate the crash sometimes today though. This is the first crash that was not a sudden force close.

      Sarah,
what version of Windows are you running? It may be worth firing up Task Manager, or Resource Monitor if you are in Windows 7, and monitoring memory for a while to see if there is a memory leak. No guarantees, but maybe worth sticking a monitor in the corner for a while.

I have Windows XP. Good idea on the memory leak. I'm back in the material editor today, so I'll monitor that for a bit.

        Thanks,

Not crashing, but when entering the material editor Revit (2012) seems to hang for about 10 seconds, every time. RAC 2011 didn't have this issue.
Task manager is running on the background, but I can't find any memleaks so far. System is a Intel Core i7 2600K with 16 gigs RAM on a Windows 7 64 bit platform.

We had the same crashing issue with materials and it was resolved by removing the Wacom driver.
