    Topo Elevation Issue

I am new to the forum so thanks for all of the help to you all in the past on searches. I use Revit 2013 I have an issue in a project- my project base point and my survey point are both set to 0' in elevation. My levels are set to survey point and read 0' as well. However, when I draw a topo point at an absolute elevation (only option available on pull down menu) at say 4' the actual spot elevation and where the topo shows in 3D is at (-9000'). Very frustrating and it feels very "buggy". Does anyone have any thoughts on how to resolve this? There must be some setting that I am missing but I can not figure it out.

    Thanks in advance.

What do the levels report if you change it back to show project?

I did check that- on either project or survey they report 0' in elevation so the levels are reading correctly but there is something in the topo setting that shows 4' in absolute elevation but is placing point at -9000' feet???

Dylan - do you have a "sea level" in your template? Any chance it's picking that up when you spot dim your topo? What is the active work plane when you place topo points? Do you have a CAD survey in your file - any chance you could be spot dim-ing to a point in that? Sometimes CAD surveys have crazy points in space.

That's all I can think of for now...

Any chance you can post the file? Under Elevation Origin, what value is your Spot Elevations showing?
