    Global Section Mark Settings

I think this should be an easy one for someone. My section marks are currently set to hide at scales courser than 1/8" = 1'-0". I need to change this globally so that all of my section marks will hide at scales courser than 3/32" = 1'-0". I have already changed the section marks that are already placed. However, new sections are drawn with the old incorrect setting of 1/8" = 1'-0". Where can I change the global setting so that newly drawn section marks will automatically have the correct setting?

Thanks for your help, I hope that question was not too confusing.

    hi,
you'll need to set the correct value in the first section view you've created, then make a view template from it by right clicking, save it, and don't forget to check the box bottom letf "apply auto. to new views..."
The next time you'll create a section , the first template to come will be yours.

Thanks for your response. I must be missing something because when I draw a new section it still comes in with the setting Hide at Scales courser than 1/8" = 1'-0". I think the part I am missing is where in the view template properties I can change this.

this was a too fast answer, my fault:
1 draw a section, select it after
2 in properties, select the scale to hide it
3 go to the section view, right-click on the title in the browser and "create view template from..." then save it
4 right click again, "apply view template..." select it and check the box "Apply to new views......."
5 draw another section, the template for this new one should be correct

in fact it's a little tricky, 'cause it's just a copy-paste, a sort of. you have no way to tune the hiding scale. Maybe a Revit guru out there knows?:coffee:

I think you can set the default view template for each kind of view in a project template file. The only hitch is that you can only pick the project template to use when creating a new project.
