Duct Connector Configurations

Well sorry for the misrecognition it is a great diagram I just wanted to make sure and preserve it. Also I want thank you for sharing this because it has been very helpful in explaining connections to other people with it.

On this topic, if a family has multiple hvac connectors, like a in-line exhaust fan that has a intake side and a exhaust side, which connector would you link the shared parameter for airflow (CFM value)?

For an inline exhaust fan we used the exhaust system for both sides but (refering to the diagram of this post) the intake side was setup similar to the return side of the AHU and the exhaust side was similar to the supply.

What I am asking is which connector, inlet or discharge, do you associate the shared paramter Airflow to? I see some families that associate both connectors to the parameter, but this seems like its incorrect and the system would calculate the CFM for the unit twice.

Sorry for the delayed responces. Associating the parameter to both connectors would not double the cfm, it just assoicates the parameter to the connectors. This allows you to change the parameter value in the family types dialog and it would apply to the connectors as well.
