Show Off Your Interior / Exterior Spaces

Seeing Klaus' office and back yard has inspired me to start this thread. Since we are all designers of some form or fashion, I thought it would be interesting to see (and maybe steal) some design ideas that you have done to your homes / apartments / bridge underpasses.

I swear I'm not a stalker! I just like to see what other people have done to their home, and show mine off a little. Although, it's still a work in progress. A lot still needs to be done.

Anyone interested? I don't want to be the only one posting pics of my dirty dishes in the sink.

Well... I have some revit views of my spaces from when we were doing some problem solving before we put our furniture in. It's a rental and we are fortunate to have some nice landlords (read: OMG UR A DESIGNER? PLEASE MAKE OUR HOUSE NICE FOR FREE!) that have allowed us to do pretty much anything we want to the house so far.

That post has some problem solving images for our master bedroom and a couple of renderings of the spaces.

Some before pictures (not renderings :P):

Some other favorites around the house.

I'll post some more once I get them taken. I've been meaning to document a lot of the "after" pics but this seems like a good reason to actually do it.

      Some older spaces - Theater

From our last house. This was the major effort I put into renovating the old basement.

      Before:

Of course, modeled and rendered in Revit before we started:

      ...and detailed:

      And realized:

Now that's what I'm talking about.

I want your sub woofer.

Loving the empty room with the dog lounging and the kid roaming. Classic shot.

Okay, a few of the house. I don't know how Carl added them in the post itslelf. I'm not that smart. They are from my cell phone so please excuse the aweful quality. They are good enough to see what's going on, though.

As you can tell, the wife and I are heavy into the mid century theme. The house was built in 1969. We've just done the easy stuff. I'm in no way as accomplished as Carl apparantly is on the construction side of things. I hire people for that!

First 4 pics are different views of the living room / dining room. Light fixture is an authentic reroduction George Nelson bubble lamp.

Fifth is the breakfast area in the kitchen. I love the atomic light fixture.

My wife has a knack for finding cool things. I mean, everyone should have a huge, metal "F" hanging on their wall!

Oh yeah, had to throw a few of the backyard in for good measure. Just had the pool redone and converted to salt water. Still waiting to take the first swim, but it's almost warm enough! Just don't look at the fence and the landscaping. Second pic is looking out from the kitchen sink.

The only thing missing is an Eames lounge chair and ottoman. One day I'll be able to afford it.

As you can tell, I'm proud of my house so far. We've only had it for 8 months, but it's awesome for parties!! :bb:

I'm running Pinacle speakers and sub. Got them on a deal from Dell. List was over 1000, I got them for 350.
I've since blown up my Denon reciever and haven't bought a new one yet. I never realized how much my TV speaker suck.

Very nice sir! Honestly, they would probably rather I upload them so it's not a bunch of [MISSING IMAGE] if my server ever goes down, but I hate hosting the same image over and over again on multiple servers, especially considering how many times some of these images get reposted!

I particularly like your through wall bar. Maybe I can throw that into the new kitchen redesign I may be proposing for the landlords. :shifty:

Thank you. It's all my wife. She has an eye for design. I just do what she tells me.

Yeah, that's the first thing we saw when we looked at the house. We instantly thought PARTY!!!. We've had 4 in 8 months.
The bad part is, it's like owning a truck. People always want to use our house for parties.
