    Problem with Visual Styles

Not really a rendering issue, but I'm not sure where else to post it. I'm attempting to set up some camera views, but my Visual Styles don't seem to be working correctly. Wireframe works as usual, but every other style (Hidden Line, Shaded, Shaded with Edges, Consistent Color, & Realistic) all appear as Hidden Line should. None of them differ. I've been playing around with my visibility settings, graphics display options, etc. and can't find anything that relates to this. Is there a way to edit my visual styles? Or maybe something option is checked that I'm not aware of? Clearly something is wrong with the visual styles themselves since the linework should disappear when Shaded is selected, and it doesn't.

I'm at a new job using MEP and have previously used Revit Architecture. I'm not sure if MEP is different in this regard. I can't imagine it would be. The fact that these settings exist and yet there is no change between them tells me something is wrong. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

I'm not sure I'm understanding the problem you're having, but the only thing I can think of is phasing overrides if you haven't already checked that. Otherwise you might try posting a screenshot so we can see what you're seeing.

Welcome to the Forum JoshuaV Sounds like something is very wrong with the install you have, so I´ve moved the thread to the General Forum where more people will see it (and it´s not really related to renderings anyway)

        Hi JoshuaV.
Try changing the discipline of the view to Architectural or Coordination. That should do the trick... good luck.

Yes, make it construction not mechanical, If you open a default project like any arch. project, it works

Could be a graphics card issue. Using Nvidia?
            Hardware acceleration on or off?

Sounds like a similar issue I once had and all I had to do was re-create the view after closing and reopening the file.

Sometimes it helps to post a screen shot. The experts on here are pretty good about seeing a picture and figuring out the issue without a description sometimes. Its pretty uncanny. "oh, that squiggly line means you don't have such-and-such checked."

Let us know if you find the answer to your issue!

            Thanks for posting!
