    Interior elevation irregular views

What is the best way to deal with an interior elevation that is not rectangular in nature? We have several elevations which are L-shaped and it would be awesome if we could just change the profile of the scope box, but to my knowledge the only shape it can be is rectangular. Masking regions?

I have done workarounds with breaking sections, you can split into as many sections as you like. You can then tweak the heads to look like elevation heads, turn them off ect.
This way you also get a crop region to manipulate.

If it ain't broke, fix it till it is.

Right, but can you do this with interior elevations as well?

When talking about interior elevations, I assume you mean Crop Region rather than scope box? Yes, a masking region works pretty well for this. Make it large enough to cover everything and define a "hole" in it which matches the outline of your desired elevation.

I wish it did, unless you know somthing I don't.
see example of what I am talking about.
          1. Split section to suit.
          2. Hide section in view.
3.Select section in Project browser and change to Detail View
          4. Add New Elevation Head and select Reference other View, then select your Section as other view.
This way your Elev. Heads all work.
Its a work around but it works.
