3d snapping gone bad in 2012

To my surprise, the 3d snapping in a curtain panel pattern based family works poorly. As a matter of fact, you barely can snap to points. I'm not sure how something like this could be broken. But if it is, we are in deep trouble since we can downgrade to 2011.

3D snaps work fine here in a family created from the Curtain Panel Pattern Based.rft
I'm retired, if you don't like it, go around!

Points don't host automatically on reference lines either. You have to place a point then pick host to attach the point to a reference line.

something strange going on with your curtain panel by pattern template. Mine works fine, and I've tested all the things you show in the video. But my Placement Plane in the options bar is set to Placement Point, and you don't seem to have that option in the dropdown.

I've downloaded a new curtain panel by pattern template and strangely enough it worked. Apparently, the previous template was messed up.

Hello, I am having the same problem with my curtain panel by pattern template and was wondering where I could download a new one?
