I just "attended" Autodesk's
Make your Most Amazing Ideas Happen Virtual Event
and I've gotta say it was one of the biggest wastes of time I've ever spent.
First of all, once I registered for it, there seemed to be no way to back and look at the agenda until the "Event" went "live".
The reason I quote "live" is that the presentations were obviously canned (pre-recorded). And it was nothing but marketing BS.
The BIM for Buildings Design, Engineering and Construction session spent the first ten minutes trying to convince me that "the Architectural Industry is being revolutionized by BIM". REALLY? I didn't know that!
So that's what I've been doing for the last six years!
I was hoping to use the webcast to show 2012's new features to our Revit Mentor group, but the session was FAR more general and Way more mearketing oriented than I was hoping for.
I have often been accused of being an Autodesk cheerleader & apologist.:ka:
I'd prefer to call myself an optimist instead.
I hope this post will help establish my "grumpy" cred.
