    Surface or Volume

When I make a closed lope with 3d snapping, I get the choice of a volume or a surface.
when I make a closed lope without 3d, picking lines for example. Revit makes an extrusion.
    But I want a surface
    anyone an idea?

Hi Henry, (and welcome to the forum btw... have been missing your Nijntje Avatar for quite some time now)

Could you post an example screenshot?

btw (and completely off-topic: check this thread for a link you can use in your RSS-feeder. Just clicking the New Posts button when you're logged in will do the same)

      how stupid,
the optiionbar gives the answer: 'make surface from closed lope'. Because I mostly use the 3d snapping I don't need this option.

How strange, that I have to bookmark, when I started the topic.
I wish, that I could set a bookmark above the category, zo that I do recieve a notification of all new starting topics from other members....

At the top of this thread under thread tools, you can subscribe to this thread. Then in Settings at the very top right of the forum you will see only this thread listed.

Not sure that I´m understanding the question... but if you "just" want to be notified when there´s a reply to a thread that you´ve started or replied to, then chose "Go Advanced" when starting a new thread, or replying to an existing thread, then you´ll have the option to "Subscribe" with 4 different options:
            • Control Panel Only
            • Instantly email
            • Daily email, or
            • Weekly email

Edit: And like Alex said, to existing threads you can do the same by using the "Thread Tools"

I think the question is: can you assign a RSS-feed to the New Post page? Automate the search for new posts and have it plunged in your Outlook every ten minutes. Without having to login and assign feeds to all threads seperately.
BTW: I tried the link, but it just keeps popping errors.

Not sure what the problem would be with the link: http://revitforum.org/external.php?type=rss2
As you can see it´s working fine in IE8....

I think thats some RSS readers are unable to read the RSS2 extentions. They will need to upgrade or find a new RSS reader that is compatable with RSS2. Some readers look for the XML.

Try not using Chrome or Firefox to view your RSS sites.

I know, the only reason I have IE is to open RSS-sites which I can then incorporate in Outlook. Loving Chrome but this REALLY sucks big time.
