I keep wondering if this is intentional behaviour in the Revit interface...
If you start in-place modelling Revit shows the Modify palette/panel - which has no tools on it to enable you to do any modelling.
As far as I can see, you have to click on the Home tab to bring up the modelling tools... or am I missing something?
It was like this in the last version of Revit and was mystifying/extremely annoying then but as I've never seen comment on it and it hasn't been changed in 2012 I assume there must be a reason for this?
It can't be so as to keep Finish/Cancel visible because that follows you to the Home tab.
Just wondered.
