Slanted Column to a beam intersection - detail lines

    Hi,

When attaching a Slanted Column to a beam the detail lines are not cut at the col/beam intersection. I realize that detail lines are "ignored" when using coping tool etc and that is properly the case here as well - but why are the lines going so far beyond the intersection.

    Cheers,

    JH

Its just a bug with the slanted column functionality.

If you simply leave the column cut as perpendicular, and then cut or attach the column to a reference plane or level the hidden linework cleans up fine.

I havent tried in 2012 yet though, I dont think they worked on the slanted columns features, but it would be worth investigating if there is any change. I will take a look tonight

      Thanks Ben,

That's what I have been doing - ie using the ref plane method but was hoping I had missed something
It seem to be a general issue with detail lines in the families as you have the same problem when coping say a pfc member with a UB or UC - the detail lines are not cut as well.

I haven't downloaded 2012 yet - will try to do that during the weekend.

      Cheers,

      JH
