    Rebar Perpendicular to work plane

    Dear All,

While I use the command "Place rebar perpendicular to work plane" and put a rebar in a slab and then specify the maximum spacing for that, it distributes the rebar vertically instead of horizontally. I could not know how to make revit distribute the rebar horizontally when the rebar is perpendicular to work plane.

    Regards,

Can you set the workplane after starting this command? It sounds like Revit is taking the wrong Workplane...

How are you placeing the rebar? Do you have a section cut of your slab and you are placing it in section?

If this is the case, just select your single bar and rotate it 90 degrees and then specify your distribution.

With rebar detailing, the perpendicular/parallel is really based on the host, not on your actual defined workplane in Revit.

LOL, that would have been my second guess... Sorry, have to do this without Revit present since my laptop is still broken and I don't use Revitforum on my pc (to protect my productivity)
