    Structure showing "pre-cut in plan"

I'm working on a stadium, and I have some buildings on the main concourse level (approx. 40-50' above ground). The client wanted to hide all of the plumbing coming down out of these buildings, and so we've created a "soffit" enclosure. Also, these buildings are sitting on new slab that is being added to the main concourse and so we have some large kicker trusses that come up from the ground to this new slab piece.

I'm cutting a RCP to see the underside of the "soffit" to show materials, dimensions, etc, but the kicker trusses aren't cutting. So where I should be seeing about 6" of angled bracing, I'm seeing the entire length of it...I've found this is due to the "Show Family pre-cut in plan views" parameter in the structural families in the structural model. Is there any way that I can turn this option off in RAC without having the structural engineer change their families? It's making my plan rather confusing...

    Thanks,
    Cassie

Check the detail level of the RCP...if it's on coarse then you won't see structural elements I believe.

right - but the braces are running through the "soffit" so I need to see them for detailing. I have the detail set to fine, because I also need to see the plumbing lines that are running around...
