    Fan Hood in Solid Modeling

How do I 'slice' a cylindrical extrusion at 45degrees to end up with what I can only explain as the end of a hyperdermic needle?
    Any hints?

create your cylinder then cut it with a "Void extrusion"

      mark b, thanks!
Taking this a step further...may I assume that the void 'remains' in place and can have parameters attached to it to expand it as necessary for the various fan sizes?
      Ciao for now.
