    Elevation Tags

I know you must be tired of hearing this & that the answer is here somewhere in the forum...but I can't find it!!

How do you change elevations tags???
The *%@%! black arrows are hiding my "Detail Number"!!!
I want to drag it out or change the Elevation tag or make a new Elevation tag.

Frustrated & have not time to struggle :banghead:

Sorry I'm exhausted & want to have my weekend now....
    I hope this is easy

Wow, don't think I've seen that one before, but go into the project browser, and under families look in the annotation Symbols for the elevation tag, right click on it and click edit... that will bring it up there you should be able to move them out of the way of the #@$%@#% black arrows!

Thanks, I'm sure I'll find it. It will take some time, because it obviously not labled "Elevation Tag"..... (I'm not happy with who every loaded it in to this template)

The default Interior Elevation tag head family is called "Elevation Mark Pointer_Circle". You should be able to find it under Annotation Symbols in the Families list. You might also check under the Manage tab --> Additional Settings --> Elevation Tags to make sure your elevation tag is referring to the appropriate family. I hope you get it worked out - these types of snags can be frustrating.

            Hi Simone
You have to find out witch family to edit. Go into the Additional Setting > Elevation Tags on the Mange Ribbon. Here you can see the family used for Elevation Tags. Then find it in the Project Browser under Annotation Symbols.

This goes for Revit 2011, but not for Revit 2010

If I'm not mistaken I think that those are hard coded and cannot be changed in 2009. This is a feature that they implemented in 2010 or 2011 I cant recall which one

No no no. There is an option in 2009 to move the text from the inside to the outside. Some people use the inside since they dont fill in the pointer. Let me see if i have an old enough version to find it...
