Automated Image Resizing ?

    Automated Image Resizing ?

    I know many advocate attached images over embedded images, personally I prefer the latter because embedded images allow me to :

    1. lurk forums without signing up to view images.
    2. read text contextually alongside images (I hate "viewers")
    3. open images in other tabs and continue reading to the next page of threads

    And so, I use them.

    So... for those who do prefer to use them, can we have automated resizing of embedded image links, so we don't get forum stretching like this :



    ...by those who don't / won't use thumbnail-url links :

      I´d strongly advocate attached images! What happens when the image host is down, or just not there anymore? Right, then the images wont be viewable on the forum either... kinda sucks for future readers.

      And, we´re currently allowing lurkers to view attachments without logging in... If it don´t affect the bandwidth usage too much, we´ll let it stay that way...

      So PLEASE use the attached images everyone :beer:

        Fair point - I guess I would rather be met with a dead link than the tease/hassle of a new sign up form.
